Natasha Wimmer’s latest translation of the great Roberto Bolaño novel The Spirit of Science Fiction is masterful. What an honor to narrate part of a special piece of literary history that is a precursor to The Savage Detectives. It is set in my birthplace and during my first years of life. This is a special project that allowed me to work very closely with the written word of a master writer.
